Harry S. Gaskill

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Harry Gaskill, 83,passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012.  Harry was born on HatterasIsland and retired as a longshoreman in Norfolk, Va.

After retirement, he returned to Hatteras Island, which he alwayscalled home.  There he and his wife, Inez, began an adventurefilled with restaurant ownership, commercial fishing, and other smallbusinesses.  His main hobby was finding a way to make adollar.  His generous heart and unique sense of humor will begreatly missed.

Harry is survived by his siblings:  brother, Weldon Gaskill andsister, Sallie Gaskill; children:  Debi Phillips, Rhonda McKenzie,Cindy Brown and her husband Bill, Donna Midgett and her husband Jason,Jettie Miller and her husband John; grandchildren:  Erik Phillipsand his wife Liz, Meghan Phillips and her fianc� Nolan Mullins, SeanPhillips and his wife Shayna, Eddie Williams Jr., Teresa Neill and herhusband Rob, Matthew Midgett and his fianc� Emerald Upright, DanielMidgett and his wife Kellie, Rebekah Midgett, and Blake Miller, andgreat-grandchildren:  Austyn Phillips, Hunter Williams, RossNeill, Rai’Onna Ortiz, Preston Midgett, Emma Carpenter, Waylan Midgett,Caleb Midgett, and Ember Rose Midgett.

Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel is assisting the Gaskill family.
