CLINTON – Sgt. First ClassCrystal Lee Wilson, 39, of 109 Duffer’s Walk, died Thursday Aug. 11,2011.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, atImmaculate Conception Catholic Church, 104 E. John Street, Clinton, NC.with Father Mark Betti officiating.
SFC Wilson was born in Norfolk, Va., and was a member of ImmaculateConception Catholic Church where she served as a board member, lector,and Eucharistic minister. She was also a volunteer with theCounty Crisis Center and Emergency Management. Shewaspreceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Ellen Shable Wilson, and hergrandfather, Woodrow Wilson.
She was the recruiting/retention NCO RRB-NC Clinton and had receivedseveral medals, ribbons, and citations during her 16 years of militaryservice. She was a veteran of Operation IraqiFreedom.
She is survived by her life partner, Linda Wynn, of the home; her son,Cameron Lee Medlin, of the home; her father, Kenneth Lee Wilson ofFrisco; a brother, Keith Wilson of Frisco, and two god-daughters, SashaJohnson and Kendallynn Faircloth.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 p.m. atCrumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at 89 Cabin CreekLane, Clinton, NC.
