FRISCO– Joshua Dean Howard was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on March 28, 1986,the third of six children, and died Friday, October 20, 2017, inNorfolk, Virginia.
Joshualived most of his life on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and was agraduate of Manteo High School. Joshua was an avid hunter, an expertfisherman, and a superb surfer. He traveled far and wide to surfincluding American Samoa, and Hawaii. He was a licensed captain and wasa mate for several local charter captains in Cape Hatteras and theOregon Inlet.
Heis survived by a daughter, Ariana Howard, her mother Natalie Nacif, hisparents Stephen Russell Howard,(Jodi), and Cynthia Miller Howard, fivesiblings: Stephen Russell Howard, II, Courtney Sebastianelli (Jeremy),Melissa Howard, Andrew Howard, and Miles Howard, (Hillary), threestep-siblings: Danielle Christie, Arielle Williams, and William Petrey,his paternal grandparents Albert O. and Melanie P. Howard of Seale,Alabama, six nephews: Kaleb Howard, Bryce Howard, Colin Sebastianelli ,Avery Sebastianelli , Gabriel Sebastianelli, and River Evans, fourstep-nephews: Dylan Elkins, Eli Williams, Eiden Williams, and GerritWilliams. Two step-nieces: Lyli Elkins, and Ryann Brown, and numerousaunts, uncles, and cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert and Virginia Miller of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Joshua was an organ donor.
Amemorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 atManteo Baptist Church, Manteo, NC. In lieu of flowers, the familyrecommends a favorite charity.
