FRISCO — William Leonard Whedbee, 77, a native of Frisco, died onWednesday, Jan. 18, 2017. He was the son of the late Zach HarrisonWhedbee and Linda Fulcher Whedbee. W.L. retired from the North CarolinaDepartment of Transportation and was a member of Little Grove UnitedMethodist Church.
W.L. is survived by his sister, Delores “Dee” Jennette and husband,Wayland, of Buxton; and a nephew, Wayland Jennette Jr., wife Cena andtheir children, Audrey and Curren Jennette, whom he loved as hisown. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by abrother, Zach Whedbee.
A funeral will be held at 2 pm on Monday, Jan. 23, at LittleGrove United Methodist Church with Rev. Toni Wood and Rev. DwightBurrus officiating. Burial will take place at the Fulcher familycemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday eveningat the church from 6:30 until 8 p.m.
