Richard Baran, 46, of HatterasIsland went out on a hunting trip Jan. 23, 2016 , but did not returnhome.
Richard was raised in Mantoloking, N.J., but relocated to HatterasIsland. His love of the water and outdoors began as a youngchild. He was an avid surfer, fisherman, and hunter. Anexperienced Captain and Guide, Rich lived and worked his passion.He owned and operated Rich Baran’s Guide Service for many years.
Rich was predeceased by his father, Richard Baran. He is survivedby his mother, Roxianna Baran, of Wall, N.J., and his sister RobinStowe, her husband, Robert, and their children, Joseph, Bobby, andMelissa all of Point Pleasant, N. J.
Richard’s family would like to thank everyone who participated in thesearch to find Rich, and we would also like to thank everyone whoshared in his “Celebration of Life.”
