A memorial service for Everett”Bud” Ludwig, who died on Oct. 8, is planned for Saturday, Nov. 14, at1 p.m. at Little Grove United Methodist Church in Frisco. Therewill be a reception after the service.

FRISCO — Following a fall at home, Everett A. Ludwig, 79, passed away in his sleep on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015.
Born Sept. 16, 1936, in East Liverpool, Everett had retired with his wife Barbara, to the Frisco area in 1981.
He worked at Crucible Steel in Midland for 19 years, and following thathe was employed at SH Bell for many years. Retiring to Cape Hatteras in1981, he and his loving wife lived in good company, giving their daysto fishing, boating, and beach life, which was always his passion.
Everett also enjoyed wood carving and has completed more than 150 wood decoys.
He was nicknamed “Bud” at birth and was very personal, loved by all his friends and family.
He also traveled extensively, pursuing his interests and visiting with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, at home; daughter Doreen Snodgrassof Cadiz, Ohio; son Gregg Ludwig of Calcutta; and daughter Robyn Harrisof Frisco. He also is survived by seven grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren.
He was always considerably proud of serving in the U.S. Army in Korea,and was extremely proud of his grandson, Ethan, for following in hisfootsteps by joining the U.S. Navy and becoming a flight officer,currently serving in Pensacola, Fla.
A memorial service for family members will be at a later date. Per his request, no funeral services are planned.
He will be missed by all.
