BUXTON– Kenneth Lee Jennette, 52, was a man of many hats including proudfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, co-owner of Cape PointExxon, and diehard Redskins’ fan.
With peace in his heart, Ken spent his last days surrounded by devotedfriends and family and departed for Heaven on October 2, 2015, after ashort illness. Many angels await him in Heaven, but he lookedmost forward to being reunited with his Mother.
Ken was the son of the late Evelyn Gard Hedrick and Bernard Lee Jennette.
Left to cherish his memory are his son Kenneth Kane Jennette ofGreenville, N.C., and many other children he loved as his own; hissister, Tracey Hooper, and spouse, John, and their daughters (AmberSchultz, her spouse, Brett, and their daughter, Paizley, Laura Hooper,and Abby Hooper); his sister, Stacey Jennette-Meiggs and her son,Matthew, of Elizabeth City, N.C.; his aunts, Gerry and Mary; manyadoring cousins, and a host of friends.
Ken loved Hatteras Island and could not have imagined living anywhereelse. So, it is appropriate that after weeks away from home hisjourney on Earth ended here on Hatteras Island. His beautifulspirit will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at 4 p.m. atHeritage of Faith Family Church in Frisco with friend and Pastor DavidStowe officiating. A gathering of friends and family will followimmediately at the home of Tracey and John Hooper.
