FRISCO — Robert (Bob) Walkowicz, 76, passed away on Saturday, June 6,2015. Born in Somerset Co., N.J., he was the son of the late Joseph andMary Walkowicz. He worked many years for a New Jersey newspaper. He andhis wife, Phyllis, moved to Hatteras in 1987 where he worked a fewjobs, his favorite being the last.
Besides his wife of 52 years, he leaves behind three sons, Bobby Jr.and wife, Liz; Darryl and wife; Desiree, and Keith and daughter-in-law,Laura, all of New Jersey, as well as six grandchildren and manyfriends. His sense of humor will be missed by all.
A gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, pleasedonate in his name to The Cancer Outreach Services thru the Outer BanksHospital, 4800 S. Croatan Highway, Nags Head, NC 27959 or the OuterBanks SPCA, PO Box 2477, Manteo, NC 27954.
