Barbara Lee “Bobbie” Nuchols

BUXTON– Barbara Lee “Bobbie” McCarthy, age 75, was born in Richmond, Va., onSept. 16, 1938, and went to be with her Lord on Feb. 10, 2014. She waspreceded in death by her parents, Ernest Allen McCarthy and Iola B.Hollins. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Leonard Nuchols;three daughters, Diana Bernier (Charlie), Sheila McVey (Joe) and GlendaLovette-Manuel (Reggie); two sons, Bruce Williams (Linda) and WayneLovette; three stepchildren, Lori Moore, Ricky and Eric (Tanya)Nuchols; 18 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is alsosurvived by three sisters, Betty Lou Maher and Patricia Hirsch ofConnecticut and Marion “AKA Cookie” of Richmond, Va. She was always anavid cat lover and liked to play Bingo, walk the beach and collectshells, work puzzles, and enjoyed living in Buxton near the beach formany years. Funeral services were held in Richmond on Feb. 12.
