MANTEO — Lula Mae Murphy Scarborough, 74, of Manteo, NC passed Monday, December 16, 2019, at The Outer Banks Hospital.

Born in Fort Mitchell, Alabama on July 15, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Annie Mae Miller Murphy and Henry Murphy.

Lula is survived by two children, Betty Scarborough Etheridge and Londo James Scarborough; three grandchildren, Sierra Scarborough, Anthony Etheridge, Jr., and Nickolas Scarborough; great-grandchild, Shìa Bowser; and one brother, Willie Murphy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany Etheridge.

A graveside funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Free Grace Church of Christ Cemetery, 1056 Burnside Road, Manteo, NC 27954. The family will receive friends and relatives for viewing and visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo.
