Dare County confirms two new COVID-19 Cases on Saturday, June 20
Dare County announced two new positive COVID-19 test results on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 46.
The two new cases are both non-residents who have transferred to their home counties, and who are recovering in isolation. The cases include a 17-year-old male, and a female in the 18-24 age range.
There have been a total of 27 resident COVID-19 cases and 10 non-resident cases since the first case was identified in Dare County in March.
New positive cases are updated on the dashboard of the Dare County website and are shared on the DHHS Facebook page when information is received. Dare County officials met Friday afternoon and have updated the Emergency Declaration for COVID-19 to include a mandate that face coverings be worn in indoor and outdoor public spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained.
