12 additional COVID-19 cases reported on Tuesday, bringing Dare County total to 277

Dare County announced 12 additional positive COVID-19 test results on Tuesday, July 21, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 277.

The 12 additional cases consist of 9 residents and 3 non-residents, and include the following:

1) non-resident, 25-49, male, transferred isolation
2) non-resident, 18-24, female, transferred isolation
3) resident, 17 under, female, home isolation
4) resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
5) resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
6) resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
7) resident, 25 – 49, male, home isolation
8) resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
9) resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
10) resident, 25-49, male, home isolation
11) resident, 25-49, female, home isolation
12) non-resident, 25-49, female, transferred isolation

Per the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, (which was last updated Tuesday morning), at least 38 of 147 resident cases are from Hatteras Island. This includes 9 cases in Avon, 21 cases in Buxton, and 8 cases in Frisco.
