Dare County to provide vaccine registration info for residents 75 and older on Monday
Per an update from the Dare County Department of Health & Human Services, information on how, when, and where to register and receive the vaccine for residents who are 75-years-old or older will be available to the public on Monday, January 4.
“Please understand the state just changed the Priority Phasing three days ago, moving the 75-and-over population to the next Priority group for us to vaccinate,” stated the update. “This dramatically changed things for health departments across the state.”
“Dare County is still wrapping up the vaccinations for Priority Phase 1a. We expect to finish this Phase on Tuesday, [January 5], and begin to move immediately to the Priority Phase 1b, Group 1, which is the 75-and-over population. Dare County is receiving very limited allocations of the vaccine each week, so it will take time to vaccinate everyone in this group who wishes to be vaccinated. Patience will be critical.”
