Dare County has released a video highlighting the many accomplishments that were achieved by its various departments throughout 2020 despite the difficulties the county faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The video—which was first featured as part of the 2021 State of the County presentation hosted by Dare County Board of Commissioners Chairman Bob Woodard on Jan. 27—showcases the work performed by county departments ranging from Finance, Health & Human Services, Planning and Public Works to the Board of Elections, Register of Deeds, Emergency Management and Parks and Recreation, among many others.
“I’d like to take the time to highlight some of the accomplishments—believe it or not, we did have some accomplishments in 2020—and I want to thank our staff for all the work that they’ve done,” said Chairman Woodard. “Folks, we are blessed. We are fortunate. A county of 35,000 and look at those numbers. It’s incredible. And I can’t thank enough the many people who work for Dare County that had a hand in making those things happen.”
