Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry resumes service after brief Saturday morning interruption
The Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry resumed its scheduled operations at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday morning after a brief interruption due to a tugboat, Albemarle, that had gotten stuck near Hatteras Inlet.
Ferry service was temporarily paused at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday, and the vessel was freed roughly 40 minutes later. The ferries from Hatteras and Ocracoke islands are now back on their regular spring schedule.
The summertime schedule for the Hatteras-Ocracoke vehicular ferry begins on Monday, May 17. To see the current schedule for all ferry routes along the Outer Banks, visit https://www.ncdot.gov/travel-maps/ferry-tickets-services/routes/Pages/default.aspx.
