Dare County has released the latest segment of its “On the Job” video series that highlights the day-to-day duties and responsibilities performed by county employees working within various county departments. This particular “On the Job” video is designed to educate and inform residents and visitors about several of the services that are provided by the Dare County Planning Department and its staff members.
The video features Dare County’s chief building inspector, Ed Kindervater, who is interviewed about his position while host and videographer Chris Hannant accompanies him to various job sites within Dare County.
Among many additional duties, Kindervater is tasked with performing field inspections and reinspections of residential, commercial and industrial facilities throughout Dare County to ensure the properties are in compliance with relevant building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical codes.
