Proud to be a part of the Hatteras Island Community, there is no doubt the island weeps in her honor. Many know her as the local legend who would “out fish” anyone day in and out, after gifting you all the local secrets. She was hard to keep still, forever improving her beautiful home, grooming our islands’ dogs, or serving many at Frank and Fran’s all while leaving visitors and residents with a smile and a bit of wit and knowledge.
Hatteras Island weeps a little today, The Point misses it’s sister a little today, her family and friends miss her a lot today. We ask the next time you visit or cast your line, you look towards the lighthouse and up in the sky you’ll find a star that shines a little brighter than the rest, that’s Ginger. Forever missed but forever in our hearts, whirling like the wind.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club in Buxton, NC on Saturday April 23, 2022, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
