Dare County has released a video highlighting the ribbon-cutting ceremony that was held on Friday, April 8, 2022, to celebrate the completion of College of The Albemarle’s (COA) new academic building located on the community college’s Dare County campus.
Construction of the state-of-the-art facility—which will serve as flex space that can adapt and evolve in order to meet the changing needs of students in the Dare County community—began in February 2021 and was completed in April 2022.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, remarks were made COA President Dr. Jack Bagwell and Dare County Board of Commissioners Chairman Bob Woodard, as well as four COA students from Dare County.
Following the ribbon-cutting, attendees were invited to take self-guided tours of the new facility, which is located at 205 Highway 64 in Manteo.
