Voting Location Changed from Fessenden Center to Fessenden Center Annex Building
The Dare County Board of Elections recently adopted a resolution to change the voting place for the Buxton precinct, as well as one-stop early voting, from the Fessenden Center to the Fessenden Center Annex Building.
The Fessenden Center Annex Building is located at 47017 NC Highway 12 in Buxton, close to the entrance to Buxton Back Road and the current PNC Bank.
One-stop absentee voting, (commonly known as “early voting”), allows any registered voter to cast an absentee ballot in person on select days prior to Election Day. Unlike on Election Day, when registered voters can only vote at their specific precinct, one-stop voting allows registered voters to vote at any one-stop absentee voting site in the county. One-stop sites will have all the ballot styles for a given election at each site.
For the November 6 General Election, one-stop voting will be available at the Fessenden Center Annex Building starting on October 17 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. A full schedule of available days and sites for one-stop early voting is available at https://www.darenc.com/departments/elections/upcoming-election/one-stop-early-voting.
