Cape Hatteras Anglers Club awards scholarships to four Hatteras Island graduates
The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club (CHAC) recently announced their 2022 Scholarship recipients, which included graduating seniors Jobell Porter, Emily Bayne, Kirra Folb, and Eric Fulcher, Jr.
“The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club Scholarship Program was established to recognize outstanding seniors enrolled at Cape Hatteras Secondary School,” stated the organization in a press release. “This year, the CHAC modified the Scholarship program to include any graduating senior who is a resident of Hatteras Island, and [who] has been accepted into a full-time post high school program of study leading to a minimum of an Associates Degree.”
The details of the 2022 Cape Hatters Anglers Club Scholarship Awards are as follows:
- Jobell Porter – $1,000. Jobell will be attending Flagler College to study Coastal Environmental Studies with a Minor in Biology.
- Emily Bayne – $1,000. Emily will be attending the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill to study Business Administration and Chemistry B.S with a track in Biochemistry. Her goal is to go into the field of Orthodontics.
- Kirra Folb – $1,000. Kirra will be attending East Carolina University to study Fine Arts. Her goal is to become either an Art Teacher or an Art Therapist.
- Eric Fulcher, Jr. – $1,000. Eric will be attending Western Piedmont Community College to pursue a career in Welding Technology. His goal is to become a Marine Welder.
“The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club is pleased to be able to assist these fine students in their academic pursuits,” stated CHAC. “We are proud of all the 2022 graduating seniors and wish them well in their future endeavors.”
