Hatteras Island Open; Travelers are Advised to be on the Lookout for Debris
Per a recent update from Dare County Emergency Management (DCEM), there are currently no restrictions on entry into any areas of the county as of 3 p.m. on Sunday. However, those travelling onto Hatteras Island should nevertheless use caution due to remaining debris and sand on the roads from Florence.
Visitors are advised to please drive with extreme caution on Hatteras Island, as travelers may still encounter sand, water, and highway equipment on the roadway.
Dare County Offices will open at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, September 17, and all county services will resume regular schedule on Monday.
The Dare County Clerk of Courts Office will be operating on a normal work schedule beginning on Monday September 17, 2018. All Court scheduled will begin at the normal time.
