Mary McClease Conway

MANTEO — Dare County native Mary McClease Conway surrendered her soul to God peacefully at her daughter’s home in Georgia September 22, 2022. She was 98 years loved on this earth and was the daughter of the late Cora and George McClease of Manteo, NC.  Mrs. Conway was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Linwood Conway.

Serving God, family, and community was at the center of Mrs. Conway’s long and rich life.   Surviving relatives include her devoted daughter, Armenta M. Jones of Stockbridge, GA and many other immediate family members, extended family members, her Free Grace Church family, and countless lifelong friends.

Family and friends may view Friday, September 30, 2022, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Gallop Funeral Services in Nags Head, NC. The funeral service will be held at Free Grace Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Church in Manteo Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 10 am. The committal service and interment will follow immediately at Free Grace Church Cemetery.
