KILL DEVIL HILLS — Linda L. Shartz 63, of Kill Devil Hills, passed away in Durham, NC after a brief illness on December 23, 2022. Linda was born in West Virginia where she completed her education and began her family with her husband, William. The couple raised their two children while Linda built a successful career in the medical industry.
In 2001, Linda and Bill relocated to the Outer Banks. Here, Linda continued working and eventually earned her North Carolina broker’s license. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed quilting, fishing, and lending a hand to anyone who needed help.
In addition to her husband of 43 years, Bill Shartz of the Kill Devil Hills residence, Linda is survived by one son, Steven Shartz of Bridgeport, WV; one daughter, Erin Shartz of Kill Devil Hills; five siblings, Kathy Scott (Tom) of Lucas, OH, Bill Roy of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Sandy Spotloe of Philippi, WV, Vicki Poe (Chuck) also of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Toni Kincaid of White Sulfur Springs, WV; as well as numerous other relatives, extended family members, and dear friends.
