Traffic stop in Avon leads to drug-related arrest
On June 5, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m, Dare County Sheriff’s Office Deputies working the C-District along with North Carolina State Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Avon, near the Food Lion on N.C. Highway 12.
Probable cause was established to search the vehicle. During the search, the Deputies located and seized a trafficking amount of Cocaine, over 250 grams of Marijuana, US Currency, Marijuana Paraphernalia and Drug Paraphernalia.
, M/42, or Virginia Beach, VA, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of Cocaine, (F) Trafficking in Cocaine, (F) PWISD Cocaine, (F) Possession of Marijuana, (F) PWISD Marijuana, (F) Maintaining a Vehicle, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Sizemore was given a $155,000 secured bond.
