Severe thunderstorms possible on Monday

Severe thunderstorms will be possible Monday afternoon and Monday night for all of eastern North Carolina per a recent update from the National Weather Service Newport / Morehead City office.

Damaging wind gusts are the main threat and high winds are most likely from 12:00 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Monday.  Large hail and an isolated tornado also remain possible through Monday night.
