Ocracoke Island Waterfowl Festival will be held April 20-21
The 6th Annual Ocracoke Island Waterfowl Festival will be held on Saturday, April 20, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ocracoke School Gymnasium at 120 School House Road.
Presented by the non-profit Ocracoke Island Decoy Carvers Guild, this annual event draws decoy carvers and collectors from Ocracoke Island and beyond in celebration of a time-honored art.
The event will feature decoy carvings of redheads, ruddy ducks, sprigtail, blue bills, ringnecks, swans, geese, shorebirds, and more, along with artwork and artifacts related to North Carolina’s rich waterfowl tradition. Attendees can also enjoy a bake sale, a Fish Fry, and much more during the two days of festivities.
