Dare County Sheriff’s Office seeks information on hit-and-run incident in Manteo
The Dare County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
At approximately 9:43 am, a Ford truck struck a parked Chevrolet Tahoe in the Justice Center Parking Lot in Manteo. Following the collision, the driver of the Ford truck briefly parked in another area of the lot, exited the vehicle, and walked around before leaving the scene without reporting the incident.
“The Dare County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about the incident or who may recognize the vehicle or individual from the provided photographs to come forward. Your assistance is crucial in resolving this matter and holding the responsible party accountable,” stated the Dare County Sheriff’s Office.
