All North Carolina boaters born on or after January 1, 1988 who operate a motorized watercraft of 10 horsepower or more must have a valid North Carolina Boater Education Card on board.
Registration for the class costs $30, and space is limited.
The free USCGA Vessel Safety Check will be conducted at the boat ramp and fueling station, with participants receiving a decal recognized by all government agencies.
