All Dare County Schools will have a remote learning day on Friday, November 15, due to anticipated inclement weather. Additionally, all after-school programs and activities scheduled on Friday are also canceled.
Students will receive further instructions from their teachers regarding expectations for the school day.
“Tomorrow remains a regular workday for staff,” stated Dare County Schools in an update. “Any staff member who feels unsafe to travel or is facing unique circumstances should promptly contact their immediate supervisor
“We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we navigate these weather-related challenges.”
Forecast models show that a low-pressure system will impact the Outer Banks area beginning tonight through Friday afternoon, bringing strong winds, heavy rain, coastal flooding, and a potential for isolated tornadoes.
