James “Jimmy” Aaron Holzbauer, 59, passed away on September 15, 2024.
Born in Riverside, CA, on April 15, 1965, he moved with his family as a child to Buxton, Hatteras Island, where he grew up and spent most of his adult years enjoying life.
Jimmy was a graduate of Cape Hatteras High School. He was on wrestling team for many years and enjoyed competing with his teammates against rival schools. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed surfing, fishing, cooking, listening to music, sports and spending time at the beach.
Jimmy was predeceased by his mom, Margaret Holzbauer, his brother, Rick Holzbauer, and his sister-in-law, Kim Robke. He is survived by his son, Canam Holzbauer; his Dad, James Holzbauer; his siblings, Regina Barnett (Eric Barnett) and Chris Holzbauer; his nieces and nephews, Thomas Holzbauer, Stephen Stowe, Tori Barnett, and Brittany Barnett; along with his close friends Wendi Keeter, Frank Folb, Tom and Georgia Hardee, Timmy Harris and many others too numerous to name.
Jimmy will be remembered for his fun and HUGE personality and will be in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held at the Bathhouse site on Frisco beach on Saturday, December 7, 2024, starting at 1:00 p.m.
