From small high-school football fields to large NFL stadiums, the CHSS Marching Band has had an eventful year.
The marching band started off with a bang by winning first place in a 1A category at Edenton in the Peanut Festival Battle of the Bands. This was followed up by a second place recognition in the Pasquotank marching band competition. Then, they ended the competitive season by participating in a marching band competition in Virginia Beach.
Despite having ended the competitive season, the marching band still had to prepare for a performance like no other. They were slated to perform during Outback Bowl’s halftime show.
This was not the only performance, however, with the band having three other performances during the five day trip. The band placed first in their division for Concert and Jazz Band, along with second place in Parade Band. Undoubtedly these performances made the 2017-2018 season one to remember.
