The Fair Haven United Methodist Church (UMC) in Rodanthe will host a Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday evening, April 3, at 7:00 p.m., and children of all ages are welcome to attend and join in the fun.
“It’s going to be an egg hunt like we have never done before,” said Pastor Tim Fitch of the Fair Haven UMC. “How it will work is everyone who is entered into the egg hunt will be given a number, and all of the eggs will be laying out randomly in the churchyard. You will have to find a dozen eggs with your number on them. After finding your dozen, bring your basket and eggs to the prize table and receive your candy and goodies!”
Some eggs will be glowing but others will not, which will add a little extra challenge, and attendees are encouraged to bring a flashlight to help them see the numbers.
Registration for the egg hunt starts at 7:00 p.m., and the hunt will officially begin at 7:30 p.m. There is a cap of 60 participants per round, and additional rounds will be held as needed. “Every child that comes will be able to hunt, and [will] receive candy and such,” said Pastor Fitch.
