Free Wellness Screen will be held on March 29
A free Wellness Screen will be held for Hatteras Islanders on Tuesday, March 29, at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building in Waves.
The event will feature cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure checks, as well as information on COVID-19 and affordable healthcare. In addition, East Carolina University (ECU) will be sending a mobile kitchen from their “Fresh Start” program to the wellness screening. Fresh Start is a culinary medicine, nutrition education, telehealth, and produce Rx program for uninsured, rural patients with diabetes.
The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and reservations are not required. The Wellness Screen is being offered by the Community Clinic of Dare, and is open to the public.
