RWS Civic Association announces a wave of fall events in the Tri-Villages
Fall has officially arrived on the Outer Banks, and the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo (RWS) Civic Association recently announced a wave of events in the next few months, from a family-friendly Halloween Party to the annual Holiday Tree Lighting.
Upcoming events in the Tri-Villages that are hosted/sponsored by the RWS Civic Association include the following:
Adopt-a-Highway Event
Fall is always a good time for a highway clean-up event, and the RWS Civic Association is running its “Fall Adopt-a-Highway” clean-up from October 8 through October 22. Interested volunteers can contact rwscivicassociation@gmail.com for more information.
Halloween Party
“We are happy to say that our Halloween Party is making a comeback,” stated the RWS Civic Association in a press release. “It has been a few years since we have been able to put on this live event for the kids, (geared to under 12 but all welcome), and we’re so glad it is back.” The Halloween Party is happening Saturday, October 29, from 1-4 p.m. at the community building in Rodanthe.
Veterans Day Decorating
The Tri-Villages will be decorated with American flags from November 9 through November 14 in honor of Veterans Day. Volunteers are always welcome to help decorate the bridges and can contact rwscivicassociation@gmail.com for more information.
Thanksgiving Pie Sale
Just in time for Thanksgiving, the RWS Civic Association is hosting a Pie Sale on Wednesday, November 23, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Community Building in Rodanthe.
“Offering an assortment of pies and baked goods for holiday desserts, morning lunches, and even some savory bites, we can help take at least one thing off your (pie) plate,” stated the RWS Civic Association. “A variety of homemade and donated pies and baked goods will be available. Proceeds support our Scholarship Fund and General Fund, including pathway maintenance and community events. Come say hello and grab something delicious. More details will be coming to our Facebook Page soon.”
2nd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting
Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 3, for the 2nd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting.
“We had so much fun last year that we cannot wait to do it again. There will be singing, hot chocolate /cider, delicious snacks, and of course Santa! We are looking forward to seeing you all there in person.”
