Wayne Blessing, 95, of Greensboro passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019.
Wayne was born on November 12, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Earle and Pearle Blessing. He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Elizabeth Betty Blessing; brother, Kenneth Blessing, and special nephew Richard LePage. He is survived by his niece, Nancy Fetter and nephew, Kenneth Blessing Jr. In addition to his niece and nephew, he is also survived by special friends and caregivers Sheila and Stephen Balance, and Kathy and Eddie Campbell.
Wayne greatly enjoyed surf fishing, and sharing that love and knowledge with anyone interested, which resulted in many wonderful and lifelong friends. He retired from Proctor and Gamble after over 30 years of service to the company. He also served proudly for 3 years in the Marine Air Corps.
There will be a celebration of his life in the spring of the year at Hatteras.
