RODANTHE–Marjorie Ann Piers, 64, of Rodanthe died Wednesday, Sept. 26,2007, at her residence. Mrs. Piers was born in Boston, Mass., thedaughter of the late John J. and Mary Helen Walsh Lyons. Mrs.Piers is survived by a daughter, Ann Piers of Spring Lake, N.C.; four sons, John Robert Piers of Hope Mills, N.C., Robert JohnPiers of Hope Mills, N.C., Joseph Christopher Piers of Conway,N.H., and Anthony Patrick Piers of Spring Lake, N.C.; fourdaughters-in-law, Vanessa Piers, Jennifer Piers, Gina Piers and GaleRushinski; three sisters, Mary Ellen Rose of Salvo, Kathleen Rose ofRodanthe, and Theresa Humphries of Littleton, N.C.; and ninegrandchildren, Robert John Piers, Jr., Tyler Thomas Piers,Brenden Wayne Piers, Ashley Mae Piers, Alexis Nicolette Tillman, ShaneGerard Piers, Bennie Tillman IV, Angelina Vanessa Piers, and Baby A.J.Piers.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m.at Laurel Memorial Gardens in Poplar Branch, N.C. by Deacon Don Wobser.The family will receive friends and relatives at Twiford’s ColonyChapel, Manteo, on Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.
