Richard Spears III

HATTERAS – Richard “Capt. Richie” Shipman Spears III, 29, of Hatteras, died June 11, 2008, in Wilmington, N.C.

Survivors include his wife, Nikki Spears; mother, Bonnie Doyle Rosell of Sarasota, Fla.; father, Dickie Spears and wife Joyce of Wilmington; sisters, Brianne Rosell of Hatteras and Molly Spears of Wilmington; and brother, Jerry Rosell of Hatteras.

The family received friends on Friday, June 13, 2008, at Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City.

A memorial service in Hatteras village is planned for later this month.
