HATTERAS– Cathleen S. Styron, 87, moved on June 11, 2010, at her home inHatteras, surrounded by her family.

Survivingare her daughter Brenda Freitager and husband Max; daughter RhondaRasmusson and husband Ras; son Homer Styron and wife Mary; daughterAnne Styron of the home; son Edgar Styron; daughter Sherry Styron andhusband Ray, and daughter Sue Styron and husband Cliff. 

Shehad six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. 

Sheis also survived by special nieces, Ruby Creason and husband Kennethand Carol Sue McCracken and husband Mark; many other nieces andnephews; adopted daughter Dee Callahan, special niece Irma Austin, andspecial friend Edith Olson.

Mrs.Styron was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Edgar L.Styron.

Thefamily thanks Patti and hospice and also Dr. Al  Hodges.

Shewas an avid reader, and her special friends included Ms. Helen and herlibrary staff.  She loved her family, her home, and her Lord.

You“better believe it”, too.

A private service was held Monday, June 14, at the home by Revs. CoryOliver, Dwight Burrus, and Ken Creason.  Memorials may be madetothe Hatteras United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 310, Hatteras, NC 27943or Dare County Home Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Manteo, NC27954.  TwifordIsland Chapel Hatteras, NC is assisting the family.
