FRISCO –Johanna G.Amundsen, who was born Sept., 17, 1919, died Oct. 15, 2010 inConnecticut at the age of 91. She was predeceased by herhusbandAlf O. Amundsen in January, 1993.
She leavesbehind herdaughter, Jeanette Bothroyd and her husband, Glenn, of Cheshire, Conn.,and her son, Paul Amundsen and his wife, Delores, of Garner, N.C., anda very dear friend who was like a son, Robb Ward of Chantilly, Va. Shewas also the grandmother of seven children and great-grandmother of 15with another due in March. Through the marriages of her twochildren she became grandmother of another six, great-grandmother ofanother nine and great-great-grandmother of nine.
A churchservice washeld in Cheshire, Conn., on Sunday, Oct. 17. A resident ofFriscofor more than 40 years, she was a member of the Little Grove UnitedMethodist Church. A memorial service will be held onSaturday,Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Little Grove United Methodist Church onHighway 12 in Frisco with Pastor Cory Oliver officiating.
In lieu offlowers,the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Little GroveUnited Methodist Church, P.O. Box 310, Hatteras, NC 27943.
