FRISCO — Walter “Walt” LeeReasor Jr., 38,passed away at his residence on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011. Thesonof Leon and Noreen Reasor, Walt was an avid fisherman and worked forseveral local companies, including Island Pest Control, HatterasRealty, and Outer Beaches Realty. He pursued an education inculinary arts and worked at Hodad’s and Quarterdeck restaurants onHatteras Island. However, his passion for fishing will beremembered by many who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three sisters,Michele Fletcher and husband Todd of Brush Valley, Pa., Tracey Spritzerand husband Rocky of Walters, Okla., Stacy Markey of New Bern, N.C.,and his aunts and uncles including Janice and Buddy Jennette of Buxton,Jack and Jane Thayer of Elwood City, Pa., and John and Karen Reasor ofMercer, Pa. Walt is predeceased by one uncle, Walter StephenReasor and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, atTwiford Funeral Home, Island Chapel in Hatteras. The Rev.DwightBurrus will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can bemade,in honor of Walter L. Reasor Jr., to the United Methodist Menorthe Hatteras Island Food Pantry, P.O. Box 1591, Hatteras, NC 27920.
