BUXTON — Merita Lee Iliff (nee Bradley), 54, passed away Friday night,Jan. 21, 2011 at Norfolk General Hospital. Born in Bethesda,Md.,she was the daughter of Donald Frank Bradley Sr., currently of Fairfax,Va., and Edith Jennette Bradley, currently of Buxton. She ispredeceased by one brother, Jeffery Bradley. Merita will beremembered for her love of animals.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Pete Iliffof Buxton; her son, Roger Alton Bradley of Nokesville, Va.; twosisters, Scheryl Gray and husband Wayne of Nags Head and Carol E.Bradley of Catlett, Va., and one brother, Donald F. Bradley Jr. ofBuxton.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, at BuxtonUnited Methodist Church with the Rev. Cory Oliverofficiating. Inlieu of flowers, donations can be made, in Merita L. Iliff’s honor, tothe Hatteras Island Food Pantry, P.O. Box 1591, Buxton, NC 27920.
