HATTERAS– Emilia Ann O’BuchBallance, 80, a loving wife, mother, and “Nanniegirl” passed awaypeacefully in her sleep on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011. She was bornSept. 15, 1930 to the late Paul and Ann O’Buch. She lived in NewYork City until she was married in 1957.
Shewas predeceased by her brothers,Charles and John O’Buch.
Sheis survived by her devotedhusband of 51 years, Lester B. Ballance; a daughter, Faye Foster andhusband Buddy; a son, Victor Ballance of Hatteras; threegrandchildren, Marshall, Krystal, and Christian; seven nieces, andthree nephews.
AFuneral will be held on Saturday,Feb. 12, by Pastor Cory Oliver and Pastor Dwight Burrus. Viewingwill be at 1 p.m. and the service will begin at 2 p.m. at theHatteras United Methodist Church in Hatteras village. The familywill receive friends at the home of Faye and Buddy Foster followingthe service.
