AVON — Ruby Gray Williams, 99, daughter of Nelson Gray and BettyScarborough and native of Avon, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011at the Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head. She was a member ofSt.Johns United Methodist Church in Avon. In addition to herparents, she is predeceased by her sister, Selma Sterling.
Surviving are her daughters, Betty Frederick of Suffolk, Va., and RebaJordan of Avon. She also leaves five grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren to cherish her memory.
A graveside funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at theScarborough Family Cemetery in Avon.
