FRISCO — Linda Lee Carolan (nee Grosse), 65, beloved wife of James“Jim” Michael Carolan, daughter of the late Gustav “George” Grosse andthe late Mary Grosse (nee Hocker), passed away at her residence onSaturday, Jan. 21, 2012. Born in Bay Shore, N.Y., she hasresidedon the Outer Banks for the past 33 years, serving as office manager forthe family business, Bay Shore Construction. She was also afaithful member of Cape Hatteras Baptist Church, where she served astreasurer. She will be remembered as a friend to all who mether,always visiting the sick and offering words of encouragement.
In addition to her husband of 39 years, Jim, she is survived by herdaughters, Kathleen of Hatteras and Mary of Frisco and her son,Michael, and her daughter-in-law, Jackie, also of Frisco. Alsosurviving are her two sisters, Elizabeth Dee Jensen of Frisco and KathyBenton, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, atCape Hatteras Baptist Church in Frisco with Pastor Russ Howardofficiating. In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Carolan willbecremated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the HatterasIsland Food Pantry, P.O. Box 1591, Buxton, NC 27920.
