OCRACOKE– Mildred Garrish O’Neal, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 in anElizabeth City hospital. Mrs. O’Neal was born in Ocracoke and wasthe daughter of the late Charlie Warren and Rosa O’Neal Garrish, andthe widow of Ronald T. “Conch” O’Neal. She was a homemakerand a member of the Ocracoke United Methodist Church.
Mrs.O’Neal is survived by three sons, Ronald T. O’Neal, Jr., RobertBenjamin O’Neal, and Michael Warren O’Neal, all of Ocracoke; severalgrandchildren and numerous other relatives.
A memorial service willbe held at the Ocracoke United Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb.9, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Laura Stern and the Rev. Ivey Belchofficiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made toOcracoke United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 278, Ocracoke, NC 27960.
