EdwardGoldberg passed away quietly in Palm Beach, Fla., on April 23, 2013 atthe age of 81. Ed was a well-known innovator of real estate,construction, and hospitality practices on Hatteras Island for manyyears. He retired to Palm Beach Gardens some time ago.
Hewas a loving father to two sons, Mitchell (Brenda) and Jeffrey (Teri)of Charlottesville Va., and daughter Leslie Goldberg Painter ( Jack) ofHatteras Island. His wife, Jeanne, preceded him home in 1997. He isalso survived by five grandchildren: Jessica, Jennifer, Aaron, andMegan Goldberg, and Kevin Painter, and three great-grandchildren. Hewill be sorely missed by his brother George Goldberg (Harriett) andnieces Sherry ( Ken) Fardie, and Marcie Goldberg, and severalgrand-nephews and grand-nieces.
Amemorial service was held at Star of David of the Palm Beaches on April26 at 9:30 a.m. An interment service will also be held on Wednesday,May 3, at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Norfolk, Va.
