SALVO– William Bryan Hooper, 83, of Salvo, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, inNags Head.  Mr. Hooper was born in Salvo and was retired from theN.C. Shipyard in Manns Harbor Security Department.  Mr. Hooper wasa member of Clarks Bethel United Methodist Church and was a Mason.

Hewas predeceased by his parents, Garland A. and Maria HooperHooper, his brother and dearest friend, Edward A. Hooper;brothers, Floyd Hooper and Leslie Hooper; sister, Myrtle H. Barnett,and sister-in-law Janie Hooper.

Surviving are his sister-in-law, Elsie Hooper of Salvo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Acelebration of life will be in Twiford Colony Chapel, Wednesday, Dec.11, at 1 p.m. by Rev. Chris Noble. Burial will be in ManteoCemetery.  Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society,930 A Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
