BUXTON– Netta “Nena” June Williams, born on Nov. 28, 1932, went to be withthe Lord on March 14, 2015. A native of Buxton, she was the daughter ofthe late Delmer and Fannie Williams. She was the caregiver for herniece, Patricia O’Neal, for many years.
Netta is survived by herbrother, Laymon Williams, and his wife, Clara; five nieces, MaryPendleton, Pam Rak, Barbara Gray, Debbie O’Neal and Carolyn Kiefer andtheir families. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death byher sister, Virginia O’Neal; a niece, Patricia O’Neal, and great-niece,Dori Reyes.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 17,at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God with the Rev. David Stoweofficiating. The family with receive friends and relatives at thechurch on Monday evening from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Burial will take placeat Quidley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be madeto the Hatteras Island Meals on Wheels, PO Box 854, Buxton, NC 27920.
