OCRACOKE — Louise Paul Midgett,71, died on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Chesapeake General Hospital.Born in Grantsboro, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Wilford C.Paul and Helena Parsons Paul. Louise was a member of the OcracokeAssembly of God.
Louise is survived by her husband, Gerald E. Midgett of Ocracoke; twodaughters, Teresa Sutton of Lincolnton, N.C., and Pat Gaskins andhusband, Dennis, of Buxton; a son, Tim Donaldson of Lincolnton; threegrandchildren, Galen Brown, Megan Vanlandingham and Kelly Sutton; andfour great-grandchildren, Gabriel Brown, Tatiana Martinez, Riely Brownand Daleyza Resendiz. She is also survived by two brothers, Jim Paul ofWashington, N.C., and Jerry Paul of Greenville, N.C. Along with herparents, Louise was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Corbin, and abrother, Winfield Hunnings.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 24, at OcracokeAssembly of God with Rev. Ivey Belch officiating. Burial will follow atthe Ocracoke Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends andrelatives at the church prior to the service from 11:30 until 12:30p.m.
