BUXTON — Jimmie Webb, age 82,passed away at the home in Buxton, NC on October 30, 2017. The son ofWiley and Irene West Webb, Mr. Webb was born January 8, 1935, inStantonsburg, NC. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, GenoraAnne Harrell Webb, son Chris Webb and his wife Ginny of Bunn, NC,daughter Vicki Webb-Lynch and partner Debbie Lynch of Oklahoma City,OK, grandchildren Jonathon Thomas and Marjorie Webb; and one brother,Don Webb, of Saratoga, NC.
A former educator, Mr. Webb received degrees from Atlantic ChristianCollege and East Carolina University, was a teacher, coach,administrator, and principal. He taught in Wilson, Nash, Warren,Washington, Currituck, and Dare Counties. Jimmie loved his career ineducation and remembered his students and athletes with love, pride,and respect.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017,at Buxton United Methodist Church with Rev. Toni Wood officiating. Thefamily invites friends and relatives for a time of fellowship one hourprior to the service.
